Microsoft Ends Support of Several Key Products
Microsoft has announced the discontinuation of a number of key software products starting early next year. Digicorp does not recommend running unsupported solutions in your environment, but encourages you to review your current needs and take action to upgrade to supported products where possible. The security and organizational risk of not upgrading far exceeds the time and cost of addressing this issue. On January 14, 2020, the short list of items below will no longer receive security updates, non-security updates, free or paid assisted support from Microsoft or online technical content updates. You can see Microsoft’s most recent full list here.

Digicorp engineers are here to help provide recommendations if you would like assistance in reviewing current and future environmental goals. We are able to assist with migration, licensing, and more. Please contact us if you have questions or would like assistance.

The following is an abbreviated list of the affected products:

  • Exchange Server 2010 (All Editions) – Extended through Oct 2020
  • Hyper-V Server 2008 and 2008 R2
  • Windows 7
  • Windows 2008 and 2008 R2
  • WSUS 3.0
